These days it is not uncommon to be struggling with relationship issues, job stress, feelings of being overwhelmed, and difficulty coping. Children also deal with family stressors and school issues, such as lack of motivation, behavior difficulties or social issues. If you, your family or your child are dealing with such challenges it can be helpful to talk to a neutral person who can assist you in developing coping strategies, communication and relationship skills in a non-judgmental, supportive environment. For many, therapy is the place to help address depression, anxiety, grief and loss, management of emotions and improve relationships.
Thank you for stopping by my website and welcome to my private practice. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have been in the counseling field for over ten years. I enjoy working with individuals, families, couples and children, helping them through life changes and relationship issues.
I am especially devoted to working with families with special needs and circumstances. I believe in working as a partner with my clients to help cultivate their strengths to help them through difficult times with dignity and courage. I work from a Solution Focused Theory Model and I believe we all have the strengths to get through even the most challenging issues. I also employ a variety of interventions from Behavioral, Cognitive Behavioral, Family Systems, Art, Sand and Play therapies.
As a client, you will have input and control over the pace at which therapy is conducted and the goals of your treatment. Therapy is always respectful, confidential and understanding of your special needs, culture and situation. In addition, I welcome graduate students looking for supervision or therapy needed for their BBS hours.
